Autism Speaks and the Ventura Girlz

Okay this is a important post! I was lucky enough to introduce the Ventura Girlz at the Autism Speaks Kick-off Brunch on Saturday. Lindsay is one of my former voice students and she used to have Autism. Lindsay and her mom spoke at the brunch and it was wonderful. It is so important that we get the word about there about the need to raise money to help cure Autism.

Every year since the start of the Autism walk in 2003 myself and my sisters have been a member of Team Kenzie Doodle. Mackenzie is a student of mine who has Autism. I am also the piano teacher to her sister Abby. Abby and Kenzie are two of the coolest girls I know. (If you look at the first picture above you will see Abby with the Ventura Girlz.)

I thought that it would be really awesome for all of my voice students to come to the walk and be members of Team Kenzie Doodle. I can never give my Team the amount of money that I wish I could but every little penny counts. Even if you could give $10.00. It would be so much fun to support Mackenzie and her family, get some fresh air, and support a great cause. If any of you want to join me in being a member of Team Kenzie Doodle let me know.
