I was so lucky to go see Alice in Wonderland last Thursday night.
Can you believe I had 10 students in this production.
The auditions had a huge turn out and I can tell you why--

Tom Murray!
I have always admired Tom Murray way back to 16 years ago when I did shows at CBC High School. I made so many special friends and learned so much from my musical theatre experiences at CBC High School. I EVEN had two on stage kisses in Pippin and a Musical Review that still make me nervous just thinking about them (wink wink).
Tom Murray is a top notch director with amazing talent himself. You may have seen Tom in many professional theatre productions around town and around the country. The way he handles his performers is so gentle and wonderful. He expects students to be on time, write down their blocking, be prepared, and to fully commit to the show--Just as Tom commits himself to his various productions. He expects the best and that is what he gets. His shows are incredibly tight and it is because of his ability to direct these talented kids. I was thrilled to talk to Mr. Murray for a few minutes after the show on Thursday night and it is always a delight to hear his compliments about my voice students and his insight into the world of kids in the Saint Louis Theatre scene. If you ever see Tom Murray's name listed as a director for a production I would encourage you to go without hesitation. You won't regret it. Thank you Tom for providing a wonderful theatre experience for the aspiring actors and actresses of Saint Louis!
